What drives the price

Five factors

  • Volume: it decides the truck, the crew and the duration.
  • Floors and access: a furniture lift can save hours.
  • Distance between the two addresses.
  • Options: packing, furniture lift, piano, storage.
  • Date: summer, the end of the month and Saturdays are in high demand.

Good habits

  • Describe everything: floors, lift, furniture lift, heavy items. An accurate price needs accurate information.
  • Add photos, including of the access (stairs, lift, street, entrance): the mover can price more accurately, often without a visit.
  • Flexible dates? Say so in your request.
  • Declutter first: less volume, less work.

FAQ

How much does a move cost in Belgium?

The price mainly depends on volume, floors, access, distance and options. The table on this page gives indicative example prices. For your own move, the mover sets the price, in the quote they send you through Movzo.

How are the example prices calculated?

From average Belgian market rates: a crew of 2 to 4 movers depending on the volume, a duration based on the volume and the floors without a lift, and the distance. Each example is an average price ±12%, including VAT, rounded to €10. They are orders of magnitude, not an offer: only the mover’s quote sets the price.

Is the price negotiable?

The mover sets their quote freely. For a fair price, describe your move precisely (floors, access, heavy furniture) and add photos, including of the access. If your dates are flexible, say so in your request. Before accepting, you can ask the mover your questions in the chat.

How do I calculate the volume of my move?

Add your furniture in our calculator: each item has an average volume. As a rough guide, count about 15 m³ for a studio and 40 m³ for a two-bedroom flat.

When should I book a mover?

Ideally 4 to 6 weeks ahead, and earlier for the summer, the end of the month or an international move.
