Reserving parking in Bastogne

How to apply
Fill in the form ‘Cadre 3: permis de stationnement’ (or ‘Cadre 1’ if the roadway is obstructed, e.g. a container), available on the municipality’s website. Attach a precise plan (a Google Maps view is fine) and send it by post or e-mail to the Works department. The request is then forwarded to the police and decided by the mayor.
| When to apply | Return the form at least 15 days before the occupation. Signs must be in place at least 24 hours in advance. |
| Cost | Municipal fee: €8 per space per day in paid-parking areas; €4 per space per day where parking is free. If no number of days is given, the whole period between start and end date is charged. |
| Who places the signs? | You (or your mover) |
| Limits and furniture lift | From June to September, reserving spaces for moves at weekends is not allowed in the town centre (Grand’rue and side streets, up to the Liège-Bastogne-Liège roundabout, route de Marche bridge, rue de Wiltz roundabout, Herdiers roundabout and Gare/rue de Neufchâteau junction). A sign manager reachable 24/7 must be named. Container: in perfect condition, secured by covered Heras fencing; a bank guarantee may be required. |
| Contact | Bastogne municipal administration, works department, rue du Vivier 58, 6600 Bastogne – [email protected]. You always apply to the municipality yourself, not the mover: then mention the length you have reserved in your message.

How it works
- 1Describe your move, once
Route, floors, furniture, options and, if you like, up to 15 photos (rooms and access): about 3 minutes.
- 2Confirm your e-mail
One click on the link we e-mail you confirms your request. It is checked, then passed to a mover.
- 3One verified mover receives your request
They have 2 hours to accept it (counted between 8 am and 9 pm). A request confirmed between 9 pm and 8 am is passed to a mover from 8 am. If they decline or do not reply, your request goes to the next mover.
- 4You receive their quote through Movzo
They send it within 5 hours (same hours). You accept or decline it; if it does not suit you, you can ask once for another mover.
- 5You deal directly with the mover
Quote accepted: you receive their contact details and they receive yours. You agree and pay directly with them, then you leave a review after the move.
Before you move
- Parking permit: reserve the space with the municipality, at least 15 days ahead. See how it works
- Furniture lift: from the 2nd floor without a lift, it often saves a lot of time.
- Register your address with your new municipality within 8 working days; a local police officer will visit to confirm.
- Dates: the end of the month and summer are busy. Book 4 to 6 weeks ahead.

FAQ
How much does a move cost?
The price depends on volume, floors, access, distance and options. A verified mover sends you their quote through Movzo, free of charge. For orders of magnitude, see our example prices.
Do I need a parking permit?
Usually yes: you reserve the space in front of your building with the municipality, at least 15 days ahead. You apply yourself, not the mover.
Do the movers speak English?
Many do, especially in Brussels. Write “English please” in your message; you can also say so in the chat.
