Reserving parking in Gembloux

How to apply
You apply for occupation of the public domain (container, scaffolding, furniture lift, no-parking sign) via Gembloux’s online citizen e-counter form. The mayor grants authorisation after a police report and a site visit. You pay a deposit per sign to the Accounting department, then collect the signs at the municipal depot and place them yourself. A road closure requires a separate request on the Eaglebe platform.
| When to apply | At least 15 days before the signs are put up. |
| Cost | €12 per day per space in a pay-and-display zone; €12 per day per space in a blue zone (Monday to Friday). Deposit of €85 per sign, paid to the Accounting department before collecting the signs. Other cases: ask the municipality. |
| Who places the signs? | You (or your mover) |
| Limits and furniture lift | Signs may only be placed after the authorisation is signed (otherwise entirely at the applicant’s risk). Containers, scaffolding, furniture lifts, maximum duration and length: ask the municipality. |
| Contact | Form: https://gembloux-formulaires.guichet-citoyen.be/occupation-du-domaine-public/demande-d-autorisation-doccupation-du-domaine-public/ - General secretariat, Parc d’Epinal, 5030 Gembloux - 081 62 63 80 - [email protected] |
You always apply to the municipality yourself, not the mover: then mention the length you have reserved in your message.

How it works
- 1Describe your move, once
Route, floors, furniture, options and, if you like, up to 15 photos (rooms and access): about 3 minutes.
- 2Confirm your e-mail
One click on the link we e-mail you confirms your request. It is checked, then passed to a mover.
- 3One verified mover receives your request
They have 2 hours to accept it (counted between 8 am and 9 pm). A request confirmed between 9 pm and 8 am is passed to a mover from 8 am. If they decline or do not reply, your request goes to the next mover.
- 4You receive their quote through Movzo
They send it within 5 hours (same hours). You accept or decline it; if it does not suit you, you can ask once for another mover.
- 5You deal directly with the mover
Quote accepted: you receive their contact details and they receive yours. You agree and pay directly with them, then you leave a review after the move.
Before you move
- Parking permit: reserve the space with the municipality, at least 15 days ahead. See how it works
- Furniture lift: from the 2nd floor without a lift, it often saves a lot of time.
- Register your address with your new municipality within 8 working days; a local police officer will visit to confirm.
- Dates: the end of the month and summer are busy. Book 4 to 6 weeks ahead.

FAQ
How much does a move cost?
The price depends on volume, floors, access, distance and options. A verified mover sends you their quote through Movzo, free of charge. For orders of magnitude, see our example prices.
Do I need a parking permit?
Usually yes: you reserve the space in front of your building with the municipality, at least 15 days ahead. You apply yourself, not the mover.
Do the movers speak English?
Many do, especially in Brussels. Write “English please” in your message; you can also say so in the chat.
