Reserving parking in Izegem

How to apply
Apply at least 4 working days in advance for a permit to use public space through the town’s online booking system (izegem.spotbooking.be). You place the no-parking signs yourself, at least 48 hours beforehand. Then take photos of the signs and the parked cars and upload them through the RIHO police zone portal.
| When to apply | Apply for the permit at least 4 working days in advance; place the signs at least 48 hours before the occupation starts. |
| Cost | €0.66 per m² per day, minimum €13.75 per application (parking space along the road = 13.75 m², at right angles = 13 m²). Closing a street: €55 per day. No-parking signs can be borrowed free of charge (subject to stock) from the town workshops, Lieven Gevaertlaan 3; late return (more than 15 days after the permit ends): €165. |
| Who places the signs? | You (or your mover) |
| Limits and furniture lift | Signs: arrow up = start, arrow down = end; upload photos at app.politiezoneriho.be/parkeerverbod. If cars are still parked when the occupation starts, call 101. Moving is not allowed between 10 pm and 6 am (police regulation). Marktstraat: Monday mornings only; no occupation of Saturday market spots on Saturdays. Closing a whole street needs a separate signage permit. For a furniture or ladder lift, ask the town about the rules. |

How it works
- 1Describe your move, once
Route, floors, furniture, options and, if you like, up to 15 photos (rooms and access): about 3 minutes.
- 2Confirm your e-mail
One click on the link we e-mail you confirms your request. It is checked, then passed to a mover.
- 3One verified mover receives your request
They have 2 hours to accept it (counted between 8 am and 9 pm). A request confirmed between 9 pm and 8 am is passed to a mover from 8 am. If they decline or do not reply, your request goes to the next mover.
- 4You receive their quote through Movzo
They send it within 5 hours (same hours). You accept or decline it; if it does not suit you, you can ask once for another mover.
- 5You deal directly with the mover
Quote accepted: you receive their contact details and they receive yours. You agree and pay directly with them, then you leave a review after the move.
Before you move
- Parking permit: reserve the space with the municipality, at least 4 working days ahead. See how it works
- Furniture lift: from the 2nd floor without a lift, it often saves a lot of time.
- Register your address with your new municipality within 8 working days; a local police officer will visit to confirm.
- Dates: the end of the month and summer are busy. Book 4 to 6 weeks ahead.
