Reserving parking in Temse

How to apply
Apply for a ‘public domain occupation’ permit via EagleBe (with or without an account) and draw the zone you need on the map. The board of mayor and aldermen decides; after approval you receive a payment request by e-mail and, after payment, the permit. Private individuals can borrow no-parking signs free of charge: the Technical Department delivers and collects them, but you must place them correctly yourself.
| When to apply | At least 4 working days in advance. Urgent request: at least 2 working days in advance and before 9 am (€50 extra). Road closure: at least 1 month in advance. Extension: at least 5 working days before the current permit ends. |
| Cost | Tax (2026 regulation): €1.24 per m² per day, minimum €47 per permit. Containers: €47 per container for the first 3 days, then €15 per day per container. Urgent request: €50 extra. Road closure: €53 extra per day. No-parking signs: free (on loan). Tax is calculated on the period stated in the permit. |
| Who places the signs? | You (or your mover) |
| Limits and furniture lift | No-parking signs can be borrowed for a maximum of 7 calendar days (private individual or association). Always keep the permit at the occupied location. On a regional road a permit from the Agency for Roads and Traffic is also needed. Applies to a removal van or furniture lift on the pavement, cycle path, parking space or carriageway; ask the municipality about the maximum length and the rules for a furniture lift. |

You always apply to the municipality yourself, not the mover: then mention the length you have reserved in your message.

How it works
- 1Describe your move, once
Route, floors, furniture, options and, if you like, up to 15 photos (rooms and access): about 3 minutes.
- 2Confirm your e-mail
One click on the link we e-mail you confirms your request. It is checked, then passed to a mover.
- 3One verified mover receives your request
They have 2 hours to accept it (counted between 8 am and 9 pm). A request confirmed between 9 pm and 8 am is passed to a mover from 8 am. If they decline or do not reply, your request goes to the next mover.
- 4You receive their quote through Movzo
They send it within 5 hours (same hours). You accept or decline it; if it does not suit you, you can ask once for another mover.
- 5You deal directly with the mover
Quote accepted: you receive their contact details and they receive yours. You agree and pay directly with them, then you leave a review after the move.
Before you move
- Parking permit: reserve the space with the municipality, at least 4 working days ahead. See how it works
- Furniture lift: from the 2nd floor without a lift, it often saves a lot of time.
- Register your address with your new municipality within 8 working days; a local police officer will visit to confirm.
- Dates: the end of the month and summer are busy. Book 4 to 6 weeks ahead.

FAQ
How much does a move cost?
The price depends on volume, floors, access, distance and options. A verified mover sends you their quote through Movzo, free of charge. For orders of magnitude, see our example prices.
Do I need a parking permit?
Usually yes: you reserve the space in front of your building with the municipality, at least 4 working days ahead. You apply yourself, not the mover.
Do the movers speak English?
Many do, especially in Brussels. Write “English please” in your message; you can also say so in the chat.
