Reserving parking in Diksmuide

How to apply
Apply for a temporary parking ban online through the EagleBe platform (choose Stad Diksmuide) or at the reception of the Administrative Centre, Heernisse 6. In the application you mark the zone on the map and choose whether the town places the signs. You may only use the space once you have the signed permit, after payment.
| When to apply | At least 5 working days before the start. Later applications: 50% surcharge (max. 5 working days). Extensions at least 2 working days before the end. |
| Cost | Fees from 01/03/2026 (council 23/02/2026): parking space €7 per day per space; furniture lift €15 per day; minimum €20 per permit (except regional roads). Regional road: €20 for the whole period; placing no-parking signs by the town on roads it does not manage: €15. Pay online (Mollie) or at reception. |
| Who places the signs? | The city |
| Limits and furniture lift | Only where parking is currently allowed. Price per parking space for the whole day; choose ‘continuous’ or ‘daily’. On roads managed by AWV or De Vlaamse Waterweg, a permit from that road manager is also needed. Without a permit: fee doubled (max. 5 working days). For a ladder lift, ask the town about the rules. |

How it works
- 1Describe your move, once
Route, floors, furniture, options and, if you like, up to 15 photos (rooms and access): about 3 minutes.
- 2Confirm your e-mail
One click on the link we e-mail you confirms your request. It is checked, then passed to a mover.
- 3One verified mover receives your request
They have 2 hours to accept it (counted between 8 am and 9 pm). A request confirmed between 9 pm and 8 am is passed to a mover from 8 am. If they decline or do not reply, your request goes to the next mover.
- 4You receive their quote through Movzo
They send it within 5 hours (same hours). You accept or decline it; if it does not suit you, you can ask once for another mover.
- 5You deal directly with the mover
Quote accepted: you receive their contact details and they receive yours. You agree and pay directly with them, then you leave a review after the move.
Before you move
- Parking permit: reserve the space with the municipality, at least 5 working days ahead. See how it works
- Furniture lift: from the 2nd floor without a lift, it often saves a lot of time.
- Register your address with your new municipality within 8 working days; a local police officer will visit to confirm.
- Dates: the end of the month and summer are busy. Book 4 to 6 weeks ahead.

FAQ
How much does a move cost?
The price depends on volume, floors, access, distance and options. A verified mover sends you their quote through Movzo, free of charge. For orders of magnitude, see our example prices.
Do I need a parking permit?
Usually yes: you reserve the space in front of your building with the municipality, at least 5 working days ahead. You apply yourself, not the mover.
Do the movers speak English?
Many do, especially in Brussels. Write “English please” in your message; you can also say so in the chat.
