Reserving parking in Kapellen

How to apply
Apply for a signage permit via the Kapellen municipality’s online platform (kapellen.spotbooking.be). After payment, the municipality (Eigen Beheer service) delivers and places the compulsory E3 no-parking signs and collects them afterwards. You may not use your own no-parking signs.
| When to apply | At least 6 working days in advance; 15 working days if there is disruption (no 1.5 m clear path for pedestrians, or disruption for cyclists/cars). Urgent procedure possible (not guaranteed); applications made only 3 working days before the start are not processed. Signs are placed at least 24 hours in advance; delivery can take up to 2 working days after payment. |
| Cost | Admin fee: €15.00 per permit. Delivery, placement and collection of E3 signs: €40.00. Occupation: €0.85 per day per m² started, only from the 4th day. Urgent procedure: €45.00 extra. Road closure: €40.00 extra (+ €40.00 for a municipal barrier). |
| Who places the signs? | The city |
| Limits and furniture lift | The parking ban only applies 24 hours after the signs are put up. On a regional road, occupations of 24 hours or more also need approval from the Agency for Roads and Traffic. Ask the municipality about the maximum number of days and metres and the rules for a furniture lift. |

You always apply to the municipality yourself, not the mover: then mention the length you have reserved in your message.

How it works
- 1Describe your move, once
Route, floors, furniture, options and, if you like, up to 15 photos (rooms and access): about 3 minutes.
- 2Confirm your e-mail
One click on the link we e-mail you confirms your request. It is checked, then passed to a mover.
- 3One verified mover receives your request
They have 2 hours to accept it (counted between 8 am and 9 pm). A request confirmed between 9 pm and 8 am is passed to a mover from 8 am. If they decline or do not reply, your request goes to the next mover.
- 4You receive their quote through Movzo
They send it within 5 hours (same hours). You accept or decline it; if it does not suit you, you can ask once for another mover.
- 5You deal directly with the mover
Quote accepted: you receive their contact details and they receive yours. You agree and pay directly with them, then you leave a review after the move.
Before you move
- Parking permit: reserve the space with the municipality, at least 6 working days ahead. See how it works
- Furniture lift: from the 2nd floor without a lift, it often saves a lot of time.
- Register your address with your new municipality within 8 working days; a local police officer will visit to confirm.
- Dates: the end of the month and summer are busy. Book 4 to 6 weeks ahead.

FAQ
How much does a move cost?
The price depends on volume, floors, access, distance and options. A verified mover sends you their quote through Movzo, free of charge. For orders of magnitude, see our example prices.
Do I need a parking permit?
Usually yes: you reserve the space in front of your building with the municipality, at least 6 working days ahead. You apply yourself, not the mover.
Do the movers speak English?
Many do, especially in Brussels. Write “English please” in your message; you can also say so in the chat.
