Reserving parking in Kontich

How to apply
Apply online for a public space occupation / parking ban permit using the Kontich municipality’s EagleBe form. You get a confirmation e-mail and, once approved, the permit by e-mail. The Technical Service places the no-parking signs at your home and collects them afterwards.
| When to apply | At least 5 working days in advance for parking spaces (10 working days for a container on the carriageway); the day of application and the delivery day do not count. Urgent procedure if less than 5 working days, at the latest 2 working days in advance. Signs are placed at least 24 hours in advance. |
| Cost | No-parking signs: €65 per set of 2 signs for the first week, then €15 per set for each extra week; urgent procedure: €80 per set of 2 signs. Occupation tax only from the 4th day (other occupations €0.80 per day per m², minimum €100; container €15 per day, minimum €45). Closing a street for more than 2 hours: €150 per day started. |
| Who places the signs? | The city |
| Limits and furniture lift | Saturday and Sunday together count as 1 working day; placement and collection days count as full days. An extension is only possible while the permit is still valid. Ask the municipality about the maximum number of days and metres and the rules for a furniture lift. |

You always apply to the municipality yourself, not the mover: then mention the length you have reserved in your message.

How it works
- 1Describe your move, once
Route, floors, furniture, options and, if you like, up to 15 photos (rooms and access): about 3 minutes.
- 2Confirm your e-mail
One click on the link we e-mail you confirms your request. It is checked, then passed to a mover.
- 3One verified mover receives your request
They have 2 hours to accept it (counted between 8 am and 9 pm). A request confirmed between 9 pm and 8 am is passed to a mover from 8 am. If they decline or do not reply, your request goes to the next mover.
- 4You receive their quote through Movzo
They send it within 5 hours (same hours). You accept or decline it; if it does not suit you, you can ask once for another mover.
- 5You deal directly with the mover
Quote accepted: you receive their contact details and they receive yours. You agree and pay directly with them, then you leave a review after the move.
Before you move
- Parking permit: reserve the space with the municipality, at least 5 working days ahead. See how it works
- Furniture lift: from the 2nd floor without a lift, it often saves a lot of time.
- Register your address with your new municipality within 8 working days; a local police officer will visit to confirm.
- Dates: the end of the month and summer are busy. Book 4 to 6 weeks ahead.

FAQ
How much does a move cost?
The price depends on volume, floors, access, distance and options. A verified mover sends you their quote through Movzo, free of charge. For orders of magnitude, see our example prices.
Do I need a parking permit?
Usually yes: you reserve the space in front of your building with the municipality, at least 5 working days ahead. You apply yourself, not the mover.
Do the movers speak English?
Many do, especially in Brussels. Write “English please” in your message; you can also say so in the chat.
