How to apply

Always apply online for ‘public domain occupation by private individuals’ via the city’s EagleBe form and choose the type ‘moving’. After approval you receive an e-mail with a payment request; the permit is only sent after payment. The city places the parking ban 2 working days before the start, provided you have paid on time.

When to applyMove without obstruction of the carriageway: processing time 5 working days (extension 3). With obstruction of the carriageway: 12 working days (extension 5) and a signage plan is required. Payment no later than 3 working days before the start, otherwise the parking ban is not placed.
CostPlacement and collection of no-parking signs by the city: €50 (only if a parking ban is needed). Pay-and-display space on weekdays and Saturdays: €0.80 per m² per day from day one. Pay-and-display space on Sundays, public holidays and 11 July: €0.50 per m² per day from the third day. Other public land: €0.50 per m² per day from the third day. Cancellation: €35 (refund only if cancelled at least 3 days before the start).

How it works

  1. 1
    Describe your move, once

Route, floors, furniture, options and, if you like, up to 15 photos (rooms and access): about 3 minutes.

  2. 2
    Confirm your e-mail

One click on the link we e-mail you confirms your request. It is checked, then passed to a mover.

  3. 3
One verified mover receives your request

They have 2 hours to accept it (counted between 8 am and 9 pm). A request confirmed between 9 pm and 8 am is passed to a mover from 8 am. If they decline or do not reply, your request goes to the next mover.

  4. 4
You receive their quote through Movzo

They send it within 5 hours (same hours). You accept or decline it; if it does not suit you, you can ask once for another mover.

  5. 5
You deal directly with the mover

Quote accepted: you receive their contact details and they receive yours. You agree and pay directly with them, then you leave a review after the move.

FAQ

How much does a move cost?

The price depends on volume, floors, access, distance and options. A verified mover sends you their quote through Movzo, free of charge. For orders of magnitude, see our example prices.
