Reserving parking in Oudenaarde

How to apply
Apply online for a ‘public domain occupation’ permit via the city’s EagleBe form. The application is assessed, the mayor signs the permit and you receive a payment request. After payment you receive the permit and collect the 2 included no-parking signs from the Technical Department (Paalstraat 9).
| When to apply | Standard: at least 10 working days before the start. Low-disruption occupations (such as a move or delivery): at least 5 working days before the start; between 5 and 3 working days via the urgent procedure (€25). Other occupations between 10 and 5 working days: urgent procedure (€150). |
| Cost | One-off administrative fee of €15 + €0.50 per m² per day for the occupied area. Hire of 2 no-parking signs is included (collect free of charge from the Technical Department, Paalstraat 9); delivery to an address in Oudenaarde: €60. Road closure or traffic diversion: an extra €100 per day. Low-disruption urgent procedure: €25. Without a permit: surcharge of €50 to €300. |
| Who places the signs? | You (or your mover) |
| Limits and furniture lift | Keep a safe passage for pedestrians (1 m) and cyclists (1.50 m). No deliveries or works at the start and end of the school day. How it works
- 1Describe your move, once
Route, floors, furniture, options and, if you like, up to 15 photos (rooms and access): about 3 minutes.
- 2Confirm your e-mail
One click on the link we e-mail you confirms your request. It is checked, then passed to a mover.
- 3One verified mover receives your request
They have 2 hours to accept it (counted between 8 am and 9 pm). A request confirmed between 9 pm and 8 am is passed to a mover from 8 am. If they decline or do not reply, your request goes to the next mover.
- 4You receive their quote through Movzo
They send it within 5 hours (same hours). You accept or decline it; if it does not suit you, you can ask once for another mover.
- 5You deal directly with the mover
Quote accepted: you receive their contact details and they receive yours. You agree and pay directly with them, then you leave a review after the move.
Before you move

- Register your address with your new municipality within 8 working days; a local police officer will visit to confirm.
- Dates: the end of the month and summer are busy. Book 4 to 6 weeks ahead.
