Reserving parking in Wetteren

How to apply
Submit a ‘public domain occupation’ application via the EagleBe online platform or book an appointment at the municipality. Once processed, you receive a payment request by e-mail. With your permit you collect the no-parking signs from the municipal depot (Peperstraat 3) and return them no later than 14 calendar days after the end date.
| When to apply | Submit the application 10 days before the occupation of the public domain. |
| Cost | First two months: €0.40 per day per m² occupied, minimum €25. Extension: €0.50 per day per m², minimum €50. No-parking signs: €6 per sign per day. Crowd barriers: €13 per barrier per day. Signs not returned on time (within 14 calendar days after the end date): €100. |
| Who places the signs? | You (or your mover) |
| Limits and furniture lift | Permit for a maximum of two months; for an extension you must apply again. Decision based on road safety. Also applies to a removal van or lift on parking spaces, pavements or cycle paths; ask the municipality about the maximum length and the rules for a furniture or ladder lift. Depot open every working day 9 am–noon, Wednesdays also 1 pm–4 pm |

How it works
- 1Describe your move, once
Route, floors, furniture, options and, if you like, up to 15 photos (rooms and access): about 3 minutes.
- 2Confirm your e-mail
One click on the link we e-mail you confirms your request. It is checked, then passed to a mover.
- 3One verified mover receives your request
They have 2 hours to accept it (counted between 8 am and 9 pm). A request confirmed between 9 pm and 8 am is passed to a mover from 8 am. If they decline or do not reply, your request goes to the next mover.
- 4You receive their quote through Movzo
They send it within 5 hours (same hours). You accept or decline it; if it does not suit you, you can ask once for another mover.
- 5You deal directly with the mover
Quote accepted: you receive their contact details and they receive yours. You agree and pay directly with them, then you leave a review after the move.
Before you move
- Parking permit: reserve the space with the municipality, at least 10 days ahead. See how it works
- Furniture lift: from the 2nd floor without a lift, it often saves a lot of time.
- Register your address with your new municipality within 8 working days; a local police officer will visit to confirm.
- Dates: the end of the month and summer are busy. Book 4 to 6 weeks ahead.

FAQ
How much does a move cost?
The price depends on volume, floors, access, distance and options. A verified mover sends you their quote through Movzo, free of charge. For orders of magnitude, see our example prices.
Do I need a parking permit?
Usually yes: you reserve the space in front of your building with the municipality, at least 10 days ahead. You apply yourself, not the mover.
Do the movers speak English?
Many do, especially in Brussels. Write “English please” in your message; you can also say so in the chat.
